I was excited to be able to spend time with Danielle’s family at this wedding. I know her parents very well—they were guests at my own wedding, and I’ve always thought the world of them. I know they are loving parents, so it was no surprise that family was such a big part of their wedding day!
From the very start of the day, there were so many small moments where it was obvious to see the love Danielle and Timmy had not only for each other but for their families. At the beginning of the day, Danielle’s bridesmaids—her sister and her mom—were there to watch and help her get ready, and once she was settled into her dress, her dad was there for her to show him how she looked. He waited at the bottom of the stairs and was completely speechless when he saw Danielle before he just rushed to her and hugged her the way only a dad can.
At the church, as Danielle was walking down the aisle, Timmy’s mom turned to him and grabbed his hand in a silent but powerful reassurance of love. By the time the ceremony was complete, Timmy and Danielle both were positively brimming over with the love being shared in that room, and it showed in the pictures we captured with their family at the church as well as the ones that we captured on the beautiful staircase at St. Patrick’s with just the two of them before we headed off to Larkfield.
Before the reception began, we grabbed some fun images with the whole wedding party before, once again, their families stole the show. The parent dances were simply heartwarming and touching, and everyone in attendance could clearly see how beautiful this amazing couple’s support system is.
Danielle & Timmy, thank you for trusting me to photograph your wedding! And Timmy—I’m so happy that your family can be reassured that Danielle’s family will love you like a son. As a transplant from Michigan myself, I know that the love and support of my wife’s family has made our love stronger, and I wish the same for you both!
Love and best wishes, John
