Chelsea and Jeff are the nicest people you will ever meet, and it’s clear just by being around them that their friends and family are the most important things in their lives.
Jeff has a tight-knit group of about ten good friends that have all known each other since elementary school and are as close as they come. Chelsea’s friends, while she met them at different points in her life, are just as close to her, and they were just doing everything they could to help her all day! At one point, while it was raining, the bottom of Chelsea’s dress got wet, and her bridesmaids actually managed to dry it out by fanning it. I also love the image of her friends peeking through the doorway to see her for the first time—their faces are priceless.
One of the biggest reasons I had been looking forward to this wedding was because I knew their families were both so loving and sweet, too. Chelsea’s mom had a smile on her face the entire day, but at the church, she was overcome with tears of joy. I can only think that when my own children get married, I’ll have the same tears of joy.
Chelsea’s dad used to captain a Fire Island ferry, and Chelsea grew up on the water. So, her dad surprised her with a special ferry ride for the family and the bridal party over to the Yacht Club! I loved that moment, as well as the image of Chelsea putting her arm around her father as the boat pulled into port.
At the reception, Jeff and Chelsea did a Chicago Bulls-themed entrance! These two loved sports from a very young age, and the themed entrance gave each person in the bridal party a chance to show off their creativity. I loved that personal touch (even if I’m a Pistons fan).
Chelsea & Jeff, you have hearts of gold! I am so thankful that I was able to be part of your wedding. Congratulations!
