Lindsay and James were married on June 5th, with a ceremony and reception at the Riverhead Atlantis Aquarium.
It’s always wonderful to get clients on recommendations because then I get to see some of my already-married couples and families again. I photographed Lindsay’s sister’s wedding, so we already knew each other somewhat, and I was honored to find out that Lindsay wanted me to document her wedding.
Lindsay is so different from her sister, and I loved getting to capture that contrast in the photography as well as getting to watch these very different siblings interact. One of my favorite photos of the day was when she and her brother and sister, along with James and his two brothers, were hanging out. Sometimes you just need a fun picture of a good hug with your siblings.
The ceremony itself was held at the Riverhead Atlantis Aquarium, and one of the most memorable moments was when they saw each other for the first time. James and Lindsay are actors and great vocalists, so when James became speechless at the sight of his bride, I knew I would never forget that moment.
I loved getting to photograph James and Lindsay walking around outside the aquarium. They both love nature, animals, and the environment, and that showed in the non-stop smiles on their faces. I especially loved the beautiful wall mural of Orca whales—when the mural is flashed in the right way, the Orcas seem to come alive and glow.
Lindsay and James, thank you so much for allowing me to photograph your wedding. I had a blast!
