Boulder Pointe Wedding in Oxford, MI : Emma + Mike

We were so happy to hear that Emma and Mike were engaged! It was such a pleasure to photograph our good friends on their wedding day since we have been friends with Emma for a few years and have really enjoyed spending time with her & her big family.

The wedding ceremony was so beautiful and very emotional, held at the beautiful Assumption Grotto Catholic Church in Detroit, Michigan. Emma and Mike are such a lovely couple and the love and support of everyone who celebrated the day with them left a lasting impression on us. The reception was later held at Boulder Pointe Golf Club in Oxford, Michigan— We love shooting at this venue. The staff is wonderful and the facility is very elegant, and the ceiling is very tall which makes the room feel very spacious and elegant.

When we arrived at Boulder Pointe, each couple in the wedding party was led by the staff in golf carts onto the golf course for wedding photos. There are a few “standard” locations where the staff takes the wedding party for photos, but we wanted to take the wedding party to a few really pretty areas of the course that we were familiar with having golfed at Boulder Pointe in the past. We were also excited to see Emma’s cake, because besides being one of the nicest people that we know, she is very talented! Bayard Cutting Arboretum Engagement Session | Kristen + Michael

Kristen and Michael had the most amazing fall day for their engagement session. We met at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum, which is really close to the studio, but I chose that park not because of vicinity, but instead because of the variety of trees. Kristen and Michael – Review

Lennon Photo is truly amazing! My husband and I could not be happier with having worked with John Lennon from Lennon Photo. People are not kidding when they say your wedding day flies by – after our wedding we were shocked by how fast the day went by, and how quickly you begin to forget some of the little details you worked so hard on while planning for your wedding. Our photo proofs came back very quickly and we were so happy to find that watching a slideshow of our wedding photos was almost like watching a video of our wedding day from start to finish; John captured every moment of our day! John was such a pleasure to work with – so friendly and warm; calm yet so energetic and excited to be working with us. He provided guidance when we needed it for our formal photos, but yet kept in the background and captured all of the fun, candid moments. John is such an amazing talent, and we could not be more thankful to him for giving us such beautiful photos – my husband and I can now relive our wedding every time we look through our wedding album. These photos are what we’ll be able to cherish forever. It is without doubt that we’ll continue to rely on John and Lennon Photo in the future, to capture the special moments of our lives together.

The Woodlands at Woodbury Wedding | Kristen + Michael

What happens when an Upper East Side NYC guy meets a Long Island East End girl? Well they get married of course! It seems like every blog post I write has a comment about “how the couple was really nice” (and they are), but Kristen and Michael take that up a notch. I’m not sure how or why but when you meet this soft spoken, smart and very nice looking couple — you instantly wish the best for them. They had their wedding at the Woodlands at Woodbury and the ceremony was held at St. Joseph Church of Babylon. We caught some quick photos as the sunset on Argyle Park and we’ll… that’s a wrap.

It seems so easy to capture the moments at a wedding. Love, happiness and moments everywhere! Please let me know what you think of Kristen and Michael’s wedding photos.

The Royalton Mansion Wedding | Anne + Josh

I MISSED YOU - Those were the first words from Anne to Josh on their wedding day. They had an amazing wedding at the Royalton Mansion in Roslyn and I was lucky enough to be their wedding photographer. One thing I love about my life is spending the day with a wedding couple and picking up on those subtle moments that define a couple. As Anne walked up to Josh and tapped him on the shoulder for the reveal, she said “I Missed You”. They both missed each other so much and they we so happy to see each other. Their happiness carried the day! Capturing their wedding day moments stated with photography at the Royalton Mansion and then we headed over to the Planting Fields Arboretum for some really fun wedding photos.

My most favorite shot is the staircase photo and we were trying to get it all day long, but I go with the flow and the flow didn’t seem to want us to get that shot. Thankfully we caught a few minutes to get some really cool photographs at the Royalton Mansion. That place is so beautiful!

Planting Fields Arboretum Engagement Session | Michelle + Michael

Have you ever met a couple who is so in love that life seems simple when you are around them? I have. Meet Michelle and Michael. I really don’t need to tell you much about them except that Michelle fired Michael when they first met. Okay, I know that sounds like a non-starter to any relationship, but not for these two. Now don’t get the wrong idea, Michael’s work ethic was not at issue here – he was bidding on a contract where Michelle was the decision maker. As a businessman, Michael understands that sometimes you lose a contract. Michelle gave him the “bad news” call, but that did not to stop them. There was more here and they both knew it. Can you say love at first firing?

I know you’re going to love these photos because Michelle and Michael are so in love and that made it so easy for me. Laughs, a little football and of course plenty of fun is what made this engagement session at the Planting Fields Arboretum, so awesome! Stay tuned for the wedding photographs at The Crescent Beach Club, later this summer.

Westbury Manor Wedding | Catherine and Paul

Westbury Manor in early fall is an absolute beautiful time of year for wedding photos. This couple had such a great time and they really treated their guests to an amazing ceremony and reception. My favorite moment is when Paul picked up a peacock feather and gave it to Catherine. You’ll see that photo as well as so many other candid photographs that really told the story of their wedding day. Their friends loved hanging out on the old brick porch and enjoying many laughs and a few cigars! Sandra and Jon Engagement on Fire Island | Wedding coming soon at Ocean Bleu

I met Sandra and Jon on Fire Island for some relaxing beach photographs for the save the date wedding cards. They brought along two little friends and it made the session so much fun. When Jon proposed to Sandra he tied the ring box to one of the puppies and sent him over the Sandra. Thoughtfully, Sandra had the box and bow and I loved getting that shot! We had a very nice walk down the beach and got some amazing photographs. Sometimes we tied the little guys up so we could take a few photos without them. Sandra and Jon adopted these two guys (brothers) which explains why every time we tied them up, you felt they were saying… “Please don’t leave me”. Anyway, enjoy the slideshow and keep an eye out for their wedding photos at Ocean Bleu.
