This brings me home. Most of the weddings I photograph are located on Long Island and they have the most amazing beauty and character, but when I was asked to travel to The Fearrington Village Inn located just outside of Chapel Hill, NC, I could not wait. The Fearrington Village Inn is one of the nations most sought after wedding locations. Forbes magazine ranks this historic dairy farm and village as number one in the country for destination weddings. Martha Stewart Wedding Magazine as well as Unveiled and Destination Weddings all recognize the Fearrington as a “top pick” wedding location. Some of the top wedding photographers in the world have photographed here and now it was my turn.
When I arrived, I immediately felt like I was home. I grew up in Michigan and the rolling fields and quaint village immediately brought me back to those charming little towns that I’ve seen my whole life. The personality of my clients, Anna and Chris, fit in perfectly here. They are polite, thoughtful, intelligent, witty and fun to be around, and they were about to treat their guests to a marvelous wedding (or as they would put it a party!).
There is also a really cool story about Chris’ custom designed suit on The Man Registry.
Enjoy the wedding photos at the Fearrington Village Inn and please leave me a comment at the end to let me know what you think.
